Hospice Camps

Over the time of our grief, we have attended family camps that have been sponsored by both Sharp Hospice Bereavement Department and Hospice of the North Coast. These have been a valuable tool for allowing the family to come together to heal and to celebrate the life of Jamie. They have been in the beautiful outdoor settings of Camp Stevens in Julian and Green Oaks Ranch in Vista. They have balanced time between activities to do together as a family such as concerts, campfires, honoring circles, meals, and art projects, and time with a group that can be used for individual processing. There was a feeling at each that we were taken care of from meals and lodging to special indulgences such as care packages. We were able to bring a friend that was close to also participate in the healing alongside the family

The loss of this magnitude is devastating to a family. It is good that those in the position of helping recognize how important is it that we heal together. Thank you to both Sharp Hospice and Hospice of the North Coast for your love and care.
