He’s gone
and what was once
so dear
is no longer here.
After 15 years
and an ocean of tears
he’s gone
he’s gone from
among us.
Call up the wind
and let it know
he’s gone
fold up the orchestra
put away the sound
pull up the sod
bare the ground all around.
Put on the blinders
extinguish the light
give in to no laughter
abandon the fight.
He was so much like
Buddha and all the
enlightened souls
he knew something important
I could tell.
21 years ago he came
the color of life changed then
a giant wave rose up
in celebration
then came crashing down
then we drown
I’m tellin’ ya
he’s missed, we’re sad
some things are bad
he’s gone.
